So far, life as a three week old is going pretty well. Let me walk you through one of my typical days. I like to start my day sometime between 6-7am. After a diaper change and a good meal, I do need to grab a quick nap. Maybe "quick" isn't the best word since they generally last a few hours. I wake up every few hours....eat....get some exercise by lifting my head to help strengthen my neck....look around.....have a diaper change and then need to take a nap again. I repeat this pattern pretty much all day until about 10 or 10:30pm when I have a late night snack before packing it in for the night and heading for bed in the cradle that my Daddy made. It's in Mommy and Daddy's bedroom and very comfortable! I've heard rumors that I will make the move from my cradle to my crib in the next few weeks, but that should be fine - I've laid in it before and found it to be very comfortable as well. Although I will miss my cradle, frankly, I wouldn't mind some privacy. Between you and me.....my parents snore! I try not to wake them up at night, but when my tummy is empty, I have to let them know. In my defense, I only wake them up once at night since I go now go 4 to 6 solid hours before my tummy wakes me up to tell my I'm hungry. It's something I'm still working on because I know I can do better, but Mommy and Daddy assure me that they are thrilled with my night time sleep skills!
